“WHEN IT RAINS”
EVELYN ENG
Video Editing - Color Grading - Post-production
Born and raised in Chelsea, Massachusetts, singer/songwriter Evelyn Eng felt a strong urge to move back home to the East Coast after spending several years living in Texas. After becoming reacquainted with her hometown and Boston’s familiar landscapes, she knew she had to return. She was subsequently inspired to craft a short collection of songs about her childhood and the overwhelming gratitude she felt for the lessons that came along with her upbringing. She asked Another Age Productions to produce a music video for the title track, “Tobin Bridge”, as well as a short-form documentary chronicling the making of the music video and her EP writing journey.
SHIPPING UP TO BOSTON
Led full-cycle post-production on both the music video and the short-form documentary. Owned editing, color grading, motion design, and sound mixing to produce two high-value production assets for Evelyn’s use in marketing “When It Rains”.
MY ROLE
Evelyn Eng | “Tobin Bridge” Music Video
Alongside a music video for “Tobin Bridge”, Evelyn also requested a docu-style video following the making of her EP. From that ask, the “When It Rains” music video documentary was born. The video tracks Evelyn as she travels around New England: returning to her hometown, recording the album in New Hampshire, and shooting the music video in the Lewis Hill area of Massachusetts. The video is a mix of analog film, digital footage, and mixed media motion graphics using real photographs.
